The multi-eventers finished up at the Penn Relays on Wednesday with Penn State’s Chris Morrisey and UCLA’s Kneisha Creary taking the 2008 titles.
Morrisey outpointed Penn’s Mike Hall, 6,955 to 6,700, to become the first athlete to win the event in back-to-back seasons since Penn State’s Jamie Cook in 1996 and 1997.

Creary took the heptathlon with 5,097 points, which was 272 more points than teammate Georgea Richards, who amassed 4,825 points. Creary gained a big lead on Day 1 with a high jump clearance of 5-11 1/4, a half foot better than the next competitor.
