This is the deepest field in Relays history, with seven teams running sub-3:40 in Thursday’s heats!
Boys & Girls of Brooklyn takes the early lead by a big margin. Eleanor Roosevelt of Maryland closed well but the lead is still 20 meters after two legs. At the final exchange Eleanor Roosevelt had just edged into the lead, and extended on the anchor to win big in 3:37.16 — the eighth fastest ever at Penn. Two Jamaican schools — Manchester (3:40.89) and Holmwood Tech (3:41.25) — came on strong at the end to take second and third. Boys & Girls faded to fifth.
