Running for the USA Blue: Mary Wineberg, Allyson Felix, Natasha Hastings, Sanya Richards. That’s three-quarters of the team that won gold at the 2007 world championships. (Hastings didn’t run the final; DeeDee Trotter did.)

Wineberg hands off to Felix in first with Jamaica trailing.

Felix’ long, long strides blew the lead up to 30 meters at the second exchange. Jamaica second, followed by USA Red.

Hastings kept the lead intact.

Richards ran hard to take the win in 3:22.16, a Penn Relays record.

Kaliese Spencer of Jamaica held off a strong drive from the USA Red’s Lashinda Demus to hold second, 3:27.96—3:27.98.
