The 116th Penn Relays are underway. The first event, the college women’s 400-meter hurdles, went off ahead of its 10:00am start time. With the sun shining and the temperature at 58 degrees, Tameka Jameson of Miami (Florida) ripped a 57.57 in Heat 3 to win the event. Landria Buckley of Howard was second in 59.03, with Columbia’s Kyra Caldwell third (59.31)
Jameson, who finished seventh at the Atlantic Coast Conference championships last weekend, is the second Miami runner to win this event, following Dominique Darden in 2006.
